Ben Smith joined Omni with 21 years of theatrical, film, and commercial lighting, and AV experience. Extensive project management and field service experience give Ben a well-rounded, problem-solving toolkit. Large-scale commercial builds, theatre, film and home automation, or innovative public art installations are all in a day’s work. Learning and growing with each of his projects, Ben is committed to offering exceptional system design services and creative technology solutions to clients big and small.
Chris Bakken manages large commercial fire alarm and security projects for Omni. Prior to joining the Omni team in January of 2019, Chris has over six years of project management experience in the electrical industry.
With over 15 years of diverse industry experience, Jason has the knowledge and ability to develop and oversee all aspects of Omni’s Minnesota branch. Jason began his career as a technician and worked his way through the ranks to site supervisor, project manager and operations manager positions before joining Omni in 2018 as Branch Manager. Jason is a resourceful and detail-oriented customer liaison with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitor project budgets, scope out work, streamline operational efficiency, develop goals, drive continuous process improvement, and cultivate client rapport.
Steven Van is the Accounting Manager at Omni. He comes to Omni with over twenty years of accounting and administrative experience.
Reed Engelke is the Service Project Manager at Omni. Reed served in the United States Army as a Land Combat Missile Electronic Systems Repairer, including deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He graduated in 2010 from the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Reed came to Omni with over 10 years of experience in construction project management and service positions, including an industrial weighing company and a manufacturer of concrete products for underground construction projects with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Sarah McGinnis is a project manager for Omni. She joined Omni with more than 13 years of experience in Project Management with local electrical distributors. Sarah’s primary responsibilities at Omni include generating new clientele, supporting existing clientele, and discovering new sales opportunities.
Shane Buol is the Technical Services Manager at Omni. Shane has an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He is NICET Level 2 certified and also holds many factory certifications. Shane began his career in the life safety industry in January of 2006 as a technician. He joined Omni in 2014 as a Project Engineer. Recently, Shane was promoted to Technical Services Manager and is an invaluable resource to office staff and customers alike.
Sean Bindley is a Project Manager at OmniSean Bindley is a project manager with Omni. Sean began his career in the fire and security industry in 2001 as a fire alarm inspector and has been in the industry ever since. He has held positions as fire alarm inspector, inspection supervisor, operations manager and sales.
